The capital of Latvia - Riga - is the largest city in the Baltics and has been an important Viking trade center since the 12th century.

The capital of Latvia - Riga - is the largest city in the Baltics and has been an important Viking trade center since the 12th century.

Today, Riga is boiling with business, industry and the culture of independent Latvia. Divided in two parts by the Daugava River, Riga serves as an important port, full of ferries, cruise liners and transport ships, and situated a mere 15 miles from the coast of the Baltic Sea.
